Aadujeevitham (Goat Life) Movie Review (Rajasree Rajan,Mumbai)

Aadujeevitham (Goat Life) Movie Review a heartbreaking Malayalam movie that will take you through a rollercoaster of emotions. Before we speak of anything, let’s appreciate the immense talent that Prithviraj Sukumaran is. Going through an intense physical transformation just to do full justice to the character he will play on the screen is simply unbelievable and Prithviraj deserves all the praise for his sheer dedication towards his job.

The film is bound to make you uneasy. And it’s hard to believe every minute that it’s humanly possible to endure everything that Najeeb endured in his life. It makes you wonder how a person could survive so much trauma for 4 long years without losing his sanity.

More than the struggles of the desert, I was blown away by Prithviraj’s perfect portrayal of a range of emotions after he escapes. His effortless display of fear mixed with sorrow, misery, and hope gave me reasons to admire him even more.

THE PERFECT ENDING
I think Director Blessy gave the perfect ending to the film by not showing his reunion with the family. Reuniting with your family after facing near-death experiences every day for 4 years is…….. It is something you cannot describe in words.
Similarly, the diverse and complex range of emotions is difficult to portray on screen and the director must have sensed the risk involved in including such a scene in the movie. A minor flaw in the depiction of emotions in the climax and the entire film would have lost everything that it managed to do so convincingly till that moment.
HAKIM AND IBRAHIM – A BEAUTIFUL ADDITION TO THE STORY

While we heap praises on Prithviraj Sukumaran, let us not forget the other two equally strong characters crucial to the story – Hakim (played by Gokul) and Ibrahim (played by Jean Louis). Hakim’s innocence and Ibrahim’s presence as a beacon of hope in the life of the protagonist fill our hearts with hope as we stare at the endless expanse of desert on screen.

Kudos to the entire crew and the Malayalam film industry for putting their heart, soul, muscles, sweat, and everything into creating a masterpiece that will linger in your hearts long after you have left the theatre.

A well versed review about the movie, ‘Aadujeevitham’ - written in an admirably stylish English. This kind of English articles should get more exposure and recognition.
