ഓ സി ഐ കാർഡ് റീ ഇഷ്യൂ ചെയ്യുവാനുള്ള  കാലാവധി  ജൂൺ 2021  വരെ നീട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുള്ള ഗവൺമെന്റ് വിജ്ഞാപനം  ഇന്ത്യൻ കോൺസുലേറ്റിൽ നിന്നും അറിയിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.  വിജ്ഞാപനം ഇതോടൊപ്പം ചേർക്കുന്നു. 

ഓ സി ഐ കാർഡ് പുതുക്കുവാനുള്ള കാലാവധി നീട്ടിയത്  സ്വാഗതാർഹമാണെന്ന്  ഫോമാ പ്രസിഡന്റ അനിയൻ ജോർജ്, ജെ. സെക്രട്ടറി റ്റി ഉണ്ണികൃഷ്ണൻ, ട്രഷറാർ തോമസ് റ്റി ഉമ്മൻ,  വൈസ് പ്രസിഡന്റ പ്രദീപ് നായർ, ജോ സെക്രട്ടറി ജോസ് മണക്കാട്ട്,  ജോ. ട്രഷറാർ ബിജു തോണിക്കടവിൽ  എന്നിവർ  ഒരു പ്രസ്താവനയിൽ അറിയിച്ചു.  

ഇതിനായി അനിയൻ ജോർജിന്റെ  നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ നടന്ന പ്രതിഷേധം അവർ അനുസ്മരിച്ചു. 

Instructions about re-issuance of Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card 

The following OCI guidelines have been in force since 2005:

• OCI card is required to be re-issued each time a new passport is acquired by the cardholder up to the age of 20 years.

• OCI card is required to be re-issued once on acquiring a new passport after completing 50 years of age.

2. The Government of India has decided to grant further extension in time till June 30, 2021 to get the OCI cards re-issued in accordance with above guidelines.

3. It is, however, advised that OCI cardholders renew their OCI cards as per the above mentioned guidelines. New York October 19, 2020
