ഡെമോക്രാറ്റിക് പാര്‍ട്ടിയുടെ പ്രസിഡന്റ് സ്ഥാനാര്‍ത്ഥിയാവാന്‍ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നവര്‍ ടെക്‌സസിലെ ഹ്യൂസ്റ്റണിലെ ടെക്‌സസ് സതേണ്‍ യൂണിവേഴ്‌സിറ്റിയില്‍ സെപ്റ്റംബര്‍ 12-ാം തീയതിയും വേണ്ടിവന്നാല്‍ 13-ാം തീയതിയും മൂന്നാം സംവാദം നടത്തുകയാണ്. പത്ത് സ്ഥാനാര്‍ത്ഥികള്‍ മാത്രമാണ് യോഗ്യത നേടുന്നതെങ്കില്‍ ഡിബേറ്റ് ഒരു രാത്രി (സെപ്റ്റംബര്‍ 12ന്) മാത്രമേ ഉണ്ടാകൂ. ഇതുവരെ 10 സ്ഥാനാര്‍ത്ഥികള്‍ മാത്രമേ യോഗ്യത നേടിയിട്ടുള്ളൂ.
യോഗ്യതകളായി ഡെമോക്രാറ്റിക് നാഷ്ണല്‍ കമ്മിറ്റി നിശ്ചയിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത് അംഗീകൃത ദേശീയ അഭിപ്രായ സര്‍വെകളില്‍ നാല് സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളില്‍2 % പിന്തുണ നേടുക, 1,30,000 'അതുല്യ' ദാതാക്കളില്‍ നിന്ന് 1,30,000 ഡോളറെങ്കിലും സമാഹരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടാവുക എന്നിവയാണ്. ഇതുവരെ ഈ യോഗ്യതകള്‍ ഉള്ള സ്ഥാനാര്‍ത്ഥികള്‍ മുന്‍ വൈസ് പ്രസിഡന്റ് ജോ ബൈഡന്, സെനറ്റര്‍മാരായ ബേണി സാന്‍ഡേഴ്‌സ്(വെര്‍മോണ്ട്), എലിസബെത്ത് വാറന്‍(മാസച്യൂസറ്റ്‌സ്), കമലഹാരിസ് (കാലിഫോര്‍ണിയ), കോറിബുക്കര്‍(ന്യൂജേഴ്‌സി), ഏമിക്ലോബുച്ചര്‍(മിനിസോട്ട), സൗത്ത് ബെന്‍ഡ്‌മേയര്‍ പീറ്റ്ബട്ടീജീജ്, മുന്‍ പ്രതിനിധി ബീറ്റോ ഒറൗര്‍കെ(ടെക്‌സസ്), വ്യവസായിയായ ആന്‍ഡ്രൂയാംഗ്, മുന്‍ ഹഡ് സെക്രട്ടറി ജൂലിയന്‍ കാസ്‌ട്രോ എന്നിവരാണ്. മറ്റാരും യോഗ്യത നേടിയില്ലെങ്കില്‍ ഇവര്‍ മാത്രം സംവാദം നടത്തും.

ഇതിനിടയില്‍ ന്യൂഹാം ഷെയറില്‍ ഒരു റാലിയെ അഭിസംബോധന ചെയ്ത് ബൈഡന്റെ പത്‌നി ജില്‍ ഡെമോക്രാറ്റുകള്‍ പ്രൈമറികളിലും കോക്കസുകളിലും ട്രമ്പിനെ തോല്‍പിക്കുവാന്‍ കഴിവുള്ള ഒരു സ്ഥാനാര്‍ത്ഥിക്ക് വോട്ട് ചെയ്യണമെന്ന് അഭ്യര്‍ത്ഥിച്ചു. പല സ്ഥാനാര്‍ത്ഥികളുടെയും പല പദ്ധതികളും നിങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു എന്ന് വരാം. എന്നാല്‍ വോട്ട് ചെയ്യുമ്പോള്‍ നമ്മുടെ ഉദ്ദേശം ട്രമ്പിനെ തോല്‍പിക്കണം എന്നായിരിക്കണം. അതിനാല്‍ ട്രമ്പിനെ തോല്‍പിക്കുവാന്‍ കഴിവുള്ള സ്ഥാനാര്‍ത്ഥിക്ക് മാത്രം നിങ്ങളുടെ വോട്ട് നല്‍കുക, ജില്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.
മൊത്തം 12 ഡെമോക്രാറ്റിക് സ്ഥാനാര്‍ത്ഥികളുടെ ഡിബേറ്റുകളാണ്. അവയില്‍ രണ്ടെണ്ണം കഴിഞ്ഞു.
